Hey y’all, I’m back from my vacation, and it feels G R E A T to be home. Don’t misunderstand, I had a pretty good time (despite getting a bit sick and feeling miserable at times), but there’s no place like home.

Now, since I was away all week, I am doing a little bit of back-tracking with my TBR, so nevermind you me.

But I like to think I did a pretty darn good job sticking my to my list last month. I read all but ONE book (out of 5) on my list for March, and it just so happened to be my Backlist book that I didn’t get to. (Maybe I’ll get to it this month?) But I finished Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee AND A Curse So Dark and Lonely, and absolutely loved them both! I only got a wee bit through my audiobook of the fourth Harry Potter book (but got a good chunk listened to during my drive back from the beach) and I got halfway through House of Salt and Sorrows, and finished it on the beach.

I’m going to SKIP picking out a Backlist read for the month of April, simply because I know I’m going to be super busy this month:

  • My son is starting at my preschool, hence my kid-free mornings shall be no more
  • Easter shenanigans and family gatherings
  • Boyfriend’s birthday
  • My baby boy’s BIRTHDAY, WHAT!
  • Throwing him a Where The Wild Things Are-themed party

I’ve got my hands full this month.

I’ve been working on this this for a while but I can say with a bit of confidence that I could finish it this month. (The drive home from Myrtle Beach helped take out a big portion of it.)

House of Salt and Sorrows • Erin A. Craig

I started this in March, and, well, I’ve already finished it. It was my main read on vacation, and it was EXCELLENT.

Aurora Rising • Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff

After I finished HoSaS, I started this one spontaneously (thank you NetGalley!) and I’ve already plowed through 28% of it!

The Tea Dragon Society • Katie O’Neill

I want to read this cute, small graphic novel I got in an OwlCrate. (It’ll help me boost my reading challenge numbers, honestly.)

tower of dawn

Tower of Dawn • Sarah J. Maas

Okay, I have GOT to stop messing around and finally read this book.

This was my Backlist pick for the month of March. Hopefully I can get to it this month. Have you read it yet?

Let’s talk TBRs! What are you trying to read this month? Are you interested in reading Aurora Rising? What about House of Salt and Sorrows? Chat with me! ??

Feeling: ?
Reading: Aurora Rising – Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff ?
Drinking: Some green tea
Currently: It’s a half hour until midnight, and I’m surrounded by half unpacked bags that we trampled in with late last night. And I STILL don’t wanna mess with ’em. I just want to sit on my couch with a warm fuzzy blanket and read my book. ??
