Wow, a lot has happened this week, guys. My boyfriend finally graduated, Rowan officially has four teeth and had his nine-month check-up, work has been pretty great, actually, and I finally finally finally finished Wicked Saints! Even though it was only a month, it felt like it took forever for me to get through that book.

Isaac and I completely missed the Super Bowl last Sunday because he got the stomach bug. It seemed inevitable because I got it, and everyone else in his family seemed to get it. So far, Rowan hasn’t showed any signs of having it, so let’s keep our fingers crossed he doesn’t get it! ??????

Rowan did get to meet his future best friend, though, for the very first time! My co-worker had her baby, Hunter, on Dec. 29th (him and Rowan are almost exactly 8 months apart) and we finally had a union but for SOME REASON I DIDN’T GET A PICTURE OF IT. ? Rowan also had his nine-month check-up, which included just one vaccine and a blood sample – but hims was still not happy about it. ? He was weighed and measured, and our big boy is 23lbs 6oz and 30 inches long! (That’s 94% and 96% respectively.)

It’s only been four months since he topped out, but Isaac had his graduation this weekend! He spent 5 years as an apprentice for the Plumber and Pipefitter Union, and now he is a journeyman and makes damn good money! I’m so proud of him for sticking with it even though he came to me multiple time with thoughts of quitting. It’s not easy to work 40+ hours and go to class for 3.5 hours two nights every week for five years – especially in his line of work! But HE DID IT! We had lots of fun last night, and I got to see some of his old classmates, and meet some new ones, and don’t even get me started on the food – it was SO DELICIOUS.

Everything felt so fancy!

Some amazing hors d’oeuvres – the spinach artichoke dip was fantastic!

My guy and his proud accomplishment!

Afterwards, we went to a bar to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and played a fun game called “Disturbing Friends” – 10/10, would recommend if you have a disturbed mind. ?

Oh yeah, you might be wanting to know what’s happening in less than two months (you know, because of the blog digest title?)… Well, as of yesterday, we are officially two months out from Rowan coming to my school! On April 8th, he will be starting at my preschool, and I get to bring him to work with me! He won’t be in my classroom, of course, but he’ll be right down the hall and I can go peek in on him any chance I get. I am getting so, so excited!

Half! Hey, that is leaps and bounds better than last week’s goals (where I didn’t meet a single goal)! I did make it to the gym once, though – Friday – and instead of swimming, I was on the elliptical for 40 minutes (multi-tasking and finishing Wicked Saints). It bit me in the butt, though, because I think I ended up straining the foot muscles in my right foot and I could barely walk all day on Saturday. ?

I’ve definitely been doing better, blogging-wise. *pats self on back* So go check out my posts from this past week! ?

  1. WICKED SAINTS (#1) BY EMILY A. DUNCAN • (FINISHED) ★★★★ Guys, I finished it. And I’m really happy I persevered. I grew a bit attached to the characters and the plot got better and the ending… oh, the ending. ? (Add to Goodreads)
  2. HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE (AUDIOBOOK) READ BY JIM DALE • (STILL LISTENING) Listened to 18% last week. I just love listening to these audiobooks. The narrator is the best around! (Add to Goodreads)
  3. FAR FAR AWAY BY TOM MCNEAL • (STARTED) Read to 5% last week. Finally picked up for my January read for the Backlist Project… ? (Add to Goodreads)

Game of Thrones, season 2. I’ve continued re-watching one of my favorite series in anticipation of the final season airing this April. I watched episode five and six!

I’ve decided to include this little tidbit at the end of my weekly digests, and use it to hopefully find new friends and open up more dialogue between us! This meme is brought to you by Coffee Addicted Writer, where I will be linking up!

Do you have celebrations for your blog’s anniversary, such as a giveaway?

MY ANSWER: So, I’m still only in my blog’s first year. But when that time comes (late October), I may do something like that! ??

I don’t have any major plans this week, although I do want to make sure I get my taxes filed! Besides that, I think I might be making the switch to iPhone this week, too (hopefully)! I’ve had Android for quite some time now, but I think I’m ready to go back to iPhone. Debating on getting the 8 Plus, but I’m going to see what T-Mobile’s got going on, and I think we are going Tuesday. So we shall see!

  1. It sounds like you had a really good week! Congratulations to your boyfriend for graduating! That’s also really exciting that Rowan will be able to go to work with you. My sister has the iPhone 8 plus she loves it, I have the iPhone x and love it. I think it just depends on what you want. I agree! The Harry Potter audiobooks are really good! I really want to re-listen to them soon.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

    • It was definitely a good weekend – I’m so proud of my guy! I’m honestly leaning toward the iPhone XR. I just want something that takes an AMAZING picture, since 90% of my pictures are of my son and the other 10% are pictures I take for the blog. ? Hopefully I’ll be able to get it with my refund money. Thank you, and I’m hoping you had a wonderful week as well! x

  2. You had a wonderful week, except for the flu in your house. That’s a great accomplishment your significant other made! That and getting to bring your little one to work with you will really be settling your family in. Iove it when people have good news like this. ?✨

I started listening to Sorcerer’s Stone and following along in the illustrated edition in September and I still haven’t finished. I need to get back to that re-read. ⚡

I hope you are having another great week. ?

    • I have a countdown on my phone until the day Rowan starts coming to work with me! ? I really need to purchase the illustrated editions of the Harry Potter novels. I think once Rowan gets a bit older, and I want to read them with him, is when I will buy the illustrated versions. ? Thank you, have a wonderful week as well!! x

  3. What an amazing week! But wow, 23 lbs. I guess my nieces and nephews were around that but I know my daughter was only 17lbs at 1 year, but tall / long. She was 22.5″ when born and off the % chart at 1 and 2 years.

I hope this week goes according to plan and is even better!

    • Yeah, he is a big boy lolol. He was only 19.5″ at birth, but he’s way up there now. He’s going to be tall. And wow, your daughter was off the charts?? Looks like she’s going to be super tall as well! Thank you for stopping by, and have a fabulous week! x
