Happy Sunday, friends! Weekends are always slow to arrive, and so quick to leave – it’s truly devastating, isn’t it?
It was another fabulous week in the weight-loss department! I’ve been intermittently fasting for two weeks, and I’ve lost over eight pounds. I am truly amazed with myself… I never thought I would just not be able to eat and lose weight. But I put my mind to it (with the help of the Zero fasting app) and I haven’t felt inclined to eat outside of my eating parameters. I’ve also managed to eliminate soda and my need for chocolate throughout the week. I’ll indulge a little on the weekends, but it’s nothing like it used to be. My stomach is shrinking, and I’m feeling amazing!
Yesterday, Isaac and I took our son to a play place for the first time! I’m fairly certain he had a blast, because before we even left and got in the car, he was passed out. As soon as we got in the car, though, he caught a second wind and didn’t go back to sleep until after 9 o’clock! He had a napping total of ONE HOUR yesterday. Oi! At least he slept in, roughly, until 10 AM this morning. He was maybe up from 6 to 6:30, but then fell back asleep. It’s so wonderful having a kid who loves sleep as much as we do!
This week I was struggling a bit. Working full-time, being a mom, keeping up with laundry (laundry is the woooorst), going to the gym/working out (didn’t so that very much this week), and still trying to section off some time to read is really stressing me out. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing it all by myself, too. Everything falls onto my shoulders and sometimes it’s hard to carry that weight. And I feel like if I ask for help or complain a little that something didn’t get done, I’m “nagging” or my mood is “out of control” … ? I’m trying to focus on being a little less hard on myself when something isn’t going the way I want it to, and to try to be more chill. Sometimes the way my house looks needs to be forfeited in order for me to save my sanity, right? I’m going to start working more on my health and less on the things that bring me down.
Fun fact: did you know today is National Mario Day? Because MAR 10… MAR10 = MARIO.
