Good morning! I’ve been slacking this week with getting posts out at a decent time of the day, whooooops. I’ve just feel feeling ultra lazy, and sluggish, and tired. And it’s also bled into my reading, too? Like what the heck is wrong with me! I haven’t been reading much or doing much of anything besides waste time on my computer. 🙄 And what have I been doing on the computer? I couldn’t even tell you. 🤣
I definitely need a system to help me better manage my time. Any recommendations are helpful.
This week went surprisingly fast (although by Tuesday, my butt was dragging because I wanted nothing more than to be sitting back in that hot tub at the cabin from last weekend 😩). When Friday got here though, my head was saying, “Already???”
GYM / I only made it to the gym, like, 2 days. I didn’t even do much except cardio. That’s honestly probably why I’ve been feeling so sluggish and tired, even though it sounds like quite the contradiction. When I make time for the gym, I feel stronger! 💪🏻
PARENTING / Rowan had been particularly cranky and whiny in the evenings earlier this week. I finally chalked it up to tiredness, because he would pass out shortly after putting him in his crib (and most times he’ll sit there and talk so cutely to himself for a while). He was just sick last week, too, but when he started feeling better (no fevers and taking his naps in the day regularly again) I thought something else was up. So I took a chance and upped his bedtime to 7:30 instead of 8 o’clock. And what a difference it made!
VALENTINE’S DAY / My boyfriend and I don’t exactly celebrate Valentine’s Day – because why celebrate your love for each other on just one day of the year? But we haven’t been out on a date in so long, we decided this weekend that we would make some time to do just that. (Except we were accompanied by a small human who refused to eat the yummy food we encountered at hibachi-style House of Japan and just slumped his high chair a majority of the time. 🤷🏻♀️)
WEEKEND ADVENTURE / Yesterday, my mom and I took Rowan on a little adventure and we visited the pet store where he was very intrigued by the birds and fish, and even “meow”-ed at all the kittens in the store. We also took him to a buffet-style restaurant where he expertly used his spoon to eat two whole bowls of applesauce! 😳 I’ll admit, I was extremely impressed!

- AN ENCHANTMENT OF RAVENS (Audiobook) read by Julia Whelan. Started. Listened to 1%. I’ve only listened to the first chapter. 🤣 (Goodreads)
›› Shameless – Isaac loves to fall asleep during our nightly Shameless watch-dates, so I got to watch an episode or two a couple times, hahah.
›› Disney+ – Rowan and I have watched many movies together. (Okay, well I only half pay attention, okay?) This week we watched Toy Story 1-4, and Finding Nemo and Finding Dory a few times, oh and The Little Mermaid. And a bit of Moana.
- New FitGirl challenge! Make it to the gym 3x this week.
- Make it to 75% through Ruthless Gods and at least a third through An Enchantment of Ravens.
- I’ve been fasting for 16 hours a day. Keep up my fasting streak!
- Work on a new project for my Etsy store.
