blog digest #56 / the weekly rundown on the goings-on of my life, the new books, & what i've been reading + watching!
Well, we made it through another week. Approximately week number 3 of things shutting down and the world going into somewhat of an isolation. And it looks like we may have (at least) three more – until I can possibly go back to work, that is.

It’s getting a bit trickier with each passing day to do something new and fresh with my almost-two-year-old. I don’t think I’m cut to be a stay-at-home-mom, no matter how much I used to fantasize about it. šŸ˜… Because as it turns out, I don’t get much more chores done, I don’t get more reading done, and the only thing I can seem to care about is Animal Crossing in my free time!

INTERNET SHOPPING / This quarantine has my browsing Amazon like it’s my job. I bought a treadmill this week, and it should be arriving sometime next week! I haven’t had the motivation to workout (except for walking outside with Rowan when the weather is nice) so I bought this to have to walk on for times when I usually just lounge on the couch. I do miss the gym and the way I felt after working out, so let’s see if this will get me feeling back to normal.

TODDLER PAPARAZZI / I’ve been taking WAAAAY too many videos of my son as he counts his numbers. šŸ˜ He’s doing amazing with it, and I’m so proud. I’ve also taken videos of him pointing to his Woody doll’s eyes, ears, nose, hair, etc., and then he says, “Night night baby.” And he’s been riding on his rocking horse, and then he even counted himself down (“1, 2, 3!”) as his dad gets ready to body-slam him onto the bed! šŸ˜‚ We’re making memories here, guys – and attempting to hold on to our sanity.

GAMING / Yes, I’ve still been gaming a lot. I’ve mostly stuck with my Animal Crossing: New Horizons on my Switch, but I’ve occasionally played my Spyro: Reignited trilogy, too.

Looking Back: March’s Book Releases + Reviews

Look at this new thing I’m trying! I’m going back over all the new releases that I’m interested in from the month of March, and checking out reviews from fellow book bloggers! It builds up my case for or against reading them in the future. (Plus, I get to support bloggers out there like myself!)

Top Ten Tuesday: April ā†’ June 5-Star Predictions!

It’s that time again! My guessing was WAY off for last quarter, so let’s just try this again, shall we?

March Recap + Apr TBR!

Not bad and not better in comparison to February – I guess I’ll take it! Maybe I can amp it up for April?

March’s Watch List

Not much to report on what I’ve been watching (yeah, I haven’t even caught up on all of my shows with all of this free time, either), but I did get to watch a couple of new things! Come take a look!

Buy Me

I impulse-bought this book after looking up some adult fiction on Godoreads. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I guess we’ll see if it lives up to its 3.7 rating? šŸ˜œ

  • eARC: THE SCAPEGRACERS by Hannah Abigail Clarke. Still reading. Read to 49%. I’ve read a whopping 7% this WHOLE WEEK. Ack. I just haven’t been interested in reading and it’s making me sad. (Goodreads)

ā€ŗā€ŗ Onward ā€“ We just played this movie for the heck of it yesterday morning, but WOW, I loved it! It kind of felt like the equivalent of Frozen to me, because it was about two brothers and one had magic while the other didn’t. Obviously, that’s where the similarities end, but it was very funny and heartwarming and original!
ā€ŗā€ŗ Shameless
ā€“ Halfway-ish through season 3.
ā€ŗā€ŗ You ā€“
I’ll probably finish the second season this coming week.
ā€ŗā€ŗ Cold Case Files ā€“
So, I learned something about myself… I shouldn’t watch Cold Case Files and drink wine at the same time, because it makes me super freakin’ sad. I only watched one episode late Friday night (after Isaac fell asleep watching Shameless) before I called it quits and put my butt to bed. šŸ¤£

  • Animal Crossing.
  • Maybe finish The Scapegracers?
  • More Animal Crossing.
  • Finish watching You, season 2.
  • Watch newest season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine – with or without my boyfriend!
how was everyone’s week? what activities are you partaking in to maintain some semblance of normalcy? what are you reading currently?

Iā€™m linking up my post to The Sunday Post and Stacking the Shelves!
