playlist / ranting about the songs i discovered in january!
Well, this certainly isn’t the first time Halsey has graced my playlist. (Guess who just figured out that Halsey is an anagram for Ashley? This chick.) I also believe Fitz and the Tantrums have made an appearance before.

But hey, hello! Welcome to my music corner where I like to talk about the songs that keep my little heart happy. I love discovering new music, and I hope that you do, too, because my taste in music is VERY eclectic. There’s bound to be something you like. Do you accept this challenge?

january 2020 songs

MORE by Halsey.
TW: miscarriage, infant loss. In 2017, I had a miscarriage. One of my best friends is struggling with conception, and she shared this song with me. Tears instantly came to my eyes. But for some reason I keep listening to this song. It’s beautiful, it rubs me raw, and yes sometimes I listen to it if I need to cry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

ALL THE FEELS by Fitz and the Tantrums.
These guys have some catchy songs! It makes me wanna snap my fingers and sway. 😜
FOUR LETTER WORD by Jessie J.
TW: miscarriage, infant loss, infertility. Sorry about the depressing songs? But I’ve really been feeling these slow, sad songs.

BLUE TACOMA by Russell Dickerson.
Oookay, normally I am NOT a country girl. But this one is my co-teachers’ fault. One of them drive a Tacoma, and the other is obsessed with country and will start singing this (regrettably catchy) song at any point on any given day! 🤣 And now… I’m stuck singing it, too!

Last month’s favorite: Honestly, “More” was probably my most played out of these. I’m sorry if it makes you cry! I’ll be here to give hugs and words of encouragement. ❤️

If you have any interest in following my playlist through Apple Music – or want to see all of the other picks from previous months – you can find it here. I’m also on Last.fm, so if you wanna be friends, find me here!
