bookish / where i recap the month of january; books i got, what i read and what i reviewed.
I’m low-key freaking out about it being a week into February already. At my age, life is a ship going full steam ahead and I’m dodgin’ icebergs left and right. Okay, probably a horrible analogy, but the gist of it is: I don’t like how fast time goes! I think it increases tenfold when you have a child and they are growing so rapidly before your eyes.

Rowan has his nine month check-up (NINE) and he’s excelling so beautifully, it makes my eyes a little misty. 🥺 I want him to stay a baby forever. I had the exact same conversation with a co-worker the other day, and she said, “But it’s fun to see them grow up and develop their personality,” (or something of that nature) and I was like NO. They grow up and then they start talking back and I DON’T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE IT. I work in the baby room for a reason. They can scream at me all day long and I’m like, cool. (Okay, babies screaming in your ear all day long can get kind of disheartening, but let’s just leave that story for another day.)

Anyway! I went off on a tangent! That happens sometimes, please forgive.

I’m doing a monthly thing? I like monthly things. This is a bookish monthly thing that includes what I bought, what I read, and what I reviewed. You know that whole accountability thing I was talking about in yesterday’s post? Here’s to help me look at the BIG PICTURE.

So without further hindrance or tangent-rambling, let’s get down to it.

What books did you buy, read, and review in January? Point me toward your reviews because I feel like reviews don’t get the most love despite us being book reviewers! As long as they’re not too spoilery I’ll give ’em a read + comment! 😜

It’s completely crazy how fast time is going! I turn 20 next week, and I’m like “how?!”.

I really want to read A Curse So Dark and Lonely – it sounds so good!
