Hey guys, are you ready to see my Top Ten post from last week that got delayed?! I’m doing last week’s topic: books that I’m pumped about being published between July and December. Since I purged a lot of books from my shelves a few weeks ago, I haven’t really thought about new releases that I’m looking forward to. There’s actually TEN that are being published in the second half of the year that I kept on my Goodreads shelf (how convenient!) because they were ones I was really looking forward to, and well, do ya want to see ’em? Do ya?!

June-December Releases I Can’t Wait For!
I loved Roar by Cora Carmack, so I’m very excited for the sequel, RAGE. Leigh Bardugo is a fabulous writer, and I’m very much looking forward to NINTH HOUSE, which already seems to be a hit across the blogoverse and it doesn’t even come out until October! BEYOND THE BLACK DOOR is slated as a dark fantasy that sounds so intriguing, about a girl and a door that she must never open. It’s also in the LGBT genre, according to Goodreads. THE STARLESS SEA by Erin Morgenstern seems like a magical, mysterious tale (right up my alley) and she’s highly praised for her novel The Night Circus, which I regrettably have yet to read. And then there’s GIRLS OF STORM AND SHADOW, whose forerunner was an amazing tale filled with girl power and left me with a hell of a cliffhanger. So can’t wait to see what this next novel brings!
So Sarah J. Maas is coming out with a new novel, and it’s called HOUSE OF EARTH AND BLOOD, with the series being dubbed Crescent City. I’m a pretty big fan of her stories, so I this is definitely on my list. Hands up for anyone whose read a retelling about Camelot? I’ve not heard of many! So THE GUINEVERE DECEPTION is on my list for sure! I loved Renée Ahdieh’s retelling, The Wrath and the Dawn, so I’m looking forward to reading THE BEAUTIFUL, which is a story about vampires in New Orleans. I’ve only read one Kasie West book, and really liked it, so I put MAYBE THIS TIME on my list as well. I might’ve just added CROWN OF CORAL AND PEARL because the cover was gorgeous, but the description also sounds enticing!
What books are you looking forward to reading in the second half of 2019?
