bookish / top ten tuesday, where i talk about the 2020 titles that only contain one word
Happy Tuesday! It’s that time of week where you get an unsolicited list of bookish goodness! I’ve got my cup o’ coffee, and I’m ready to talk about books!

Unfortunately, I’m at home with a ‘sick’ child… he’s got a 100Β° fever, but is otherwise fine… πŸ˜’ Still kind of bouncing off the walls a bit, so to speak.

This week the prompt was one word titles, but I decided to take it a little further and just feature 2020 titles that I’m looking forward to reading!

By the way, have you looked at the 2020 YA Goodreads list? Holy amazeballs!

one-word 2020 titles

Havenfall by Sara Holland

β†’ Happy book birthday! This book mixes magical worlds with the real one – right in Colorado! Paired with that gorgeous cover, I’d say this one is a novel to be on the look out for!

Loveless by Alice Oseman
Published on July 9th, 2020
β†’ I haven’t read any Oseman yet, but after reading Only Mostly Devastated, I’m eager to read more contemporary books featuring LGBT characters. I just haven’t read that many? And I need more! Open to other recommendations too!

Shielded by Kaylynn Flanders
Published on July 21st, 2020
β†’ I’ve got a copy of this from the publishers via NetGalley! Wee! Would you just look at that pretty cover? 😍 “For fans of Sorcery of Thorns?” Oh, YES, please! It’s already got really good reviews, too!

Crownchasers by Rebecca Coffindaffer
Published on September 29th, 2020
β†’ Lara Croft meets Star Wars? Space opera? Intergalactic adventure? Cross-galaxy content to become the quadrant’s next emperor? Sounds like a bunch of things I’d be totally into!

Ruinsong by Julia Ember
Published on November 24th, 2020
β†’ LGBTQ romance fantasy? I’m having Girls of Paper and Fire flashbacks just thinking about it. I am just so in love with that purple and gold cover, too.

Horrid by Katrina Leno
Published on September 15th, 2020
β†’ I still think aboutΒ The Half Life of Molly Pierce, and sadly I haven’t read another book by this author since. I don’t know why, because I really liked that book! I have a bunch of her stuff on my TBR though, and this one sounds about as good as all the others!

Wonderland by Juno Dawson
Published on May 28th, 2020
β†’ A privileged Alice who ins on the hunt for her missing friend, Bunny. πŸ€” And ‘Wonderland’ is an epic party. I’m very intrigued!

Look by Zan Romanoff
Published on March 31st, 2020
β†’ A girl who lives in the spotlight, and she meets a girl who just wants her and not all of the attention she gets on a daily basis. Another LGBT contemp on my list, guys.

Windswept by Gwen Cole
Published on May 5th, 2020
β†’ Ordinary girl experiencing a mundane life, but suddenly meets a boy on the subway who has a unique power. And there’s an old, secret feud that the MC is about to be immersed in! Oooh!

Meme by Aaron Starmer
Published on September 8th, 2020
β†’ A psychological thriller! Yes! Four teens are bound by a secret – a boy’s death. And their insurance that no one will blab is their old disconnected phones with nothing but their confession on them, buried with the body. But then… one day a meme appears… with the a screenshot of one of their confessions. 😳

Okay, so admit it, how many of these books did you just add to your Goodreads TBR? What one-word titled books can you think of?

I’m linking up my post toΒ Top Ten Tuesday!
